Desert Academy League – MLS Next

The Desert Academy League is an independent league for MLS NEXT clubs in Arizona and Utah, providing a high-level competitive platform and a professional game-day environment for boys in the U11 through U19 age groups.

As part of the MLS NEXT Academy Division, the Desert Conference brings together top clubs from across the region in a structure focused on meaningful competition, long-term player development, and preparation for the next level. The Academy Division follows MLS NEXT's technical standards and program guidelines, and players are permitted to participate in high school soccer — offering a unique balance between elite development and local play.

Sparta United competes in the Desert Conference, giving our players access to high-quality regional competition, coaching education programs, talent identification initiatives, and exposure to professional, national team, and college scouts.
